libbpf: Add BPF_KPROBE_SYSCALL macro
Add syscall-specific variant of BPF_KPROBE named BPF_KPROBE_SYSCALL ([0]).
The new macro hides the underlying way of getting syscall input arguments.
With the new macro, the following code:

On s390, the first syscall argument should be accessed via orig_gpr2
(see arch/s390/include/asm/syscall.h). Currently gpr[2] is used
instead, leading to bpf_syscall_macro test failure.
orig_gpr2 cannot be added to user_pt_regs, since its layout is a part
of the ABI. Therefore provide access to it only through
PT_REGS_PARM1_CORE_SYSCALL() by using a struct pt_regs flavor.

selftests/bpf: Do not export subtest as standalone test
Two subtests in ksyms_module.c are not qualified as static, so these
subtests are exported as standalone tests in tests.h and lead to
confusion for the output of "./test_progs -t ksyms_module".
By using the following command ...

multiple programs into a huge page.
Patches 1-6 prepare the work. Patch 7 contains key logic of bpf_prog_pack

bpf_prog_pack allocator. Patch 9 uses this allocator in x86_64 jit.

bpf, x86_64: Use bpf_jit_binary_pack_alloc
Use bpf_jit_binary_pack_alloc in x86_64 jit. The jit engine first writes
the program to the rw buffer. When the jit is done, the program is copied
to the final location with bpf_jit_binary_pack_finalize.
Note that we need to do bpf_tail_call_direct_fixup after finalize.
Therefore, the text_live = false logic in __bpf_arch_text_poke is no
longer needed.

bpf: Introduce bpf_jit_binary_pack_[alloc|finalize|free]
This is the jit binary allocator built on top of bpf_prog_pack.
bpf_prog_pack allocates RO memory, which cannot be used directly by the
JIT engine. Therefore, a temporary rw buffer is allocated for the JIT
engine. Once JIT is done, bpf_jit_binary_pack_finalize is used to copy
the program to the RO memory.
bpf_jit_binary_pack_alloc reserves 16 bytes of extra space for illegal
instructions, which is small than the 128 bytes space reserved by
bpf_jit_binary_alloc. This change is necessary for bpf_jit_binary_hdr
to find the correct header. Also, flag use_bpf_prog_pack is added to
differentiate a program allocated by bpf_jit_binary_pack_alloc.

x86, bpf_arch_text_copy is implemented with text_poke_copy.

x86/Kconfig: Select HAVE_ARCH_HUGE_VMALLOC with HAVE_ARCH_HUGE_VMAP
This enables module_alloc() to allocate huge page for 2MB+ requests.
To check the difference of this change, we need enable config
CONFIG_PTDUMP_DEBUGFS, and call module_alloc(2MB). Before the change,
/sys/kernel/debug/page_tables/kernel shows pte for this map. With the
change, /sys/kernel/debug/page_tables/ show pmd for thie map.

libbpf: Remove mode check in libbpf_set_strict_mode()
libbpf_set_strict_mode() checks that the passed mode doesn't contain
extra bits for LIBBPF_STRICT_* flags that don't exist yet.
It makes it difficult for applications to disable some strict flags as
something like "LIBBPF_STRICT_ALL & ~LIBBPF_STRICT_MAP_DEFINITIONS"
is rejected by this check and they have to use a rather complicated
formula to calculate it.[0]
One possibility is to change LIBBPF_STRICT_ALL to only contain the bits
of all existing LIBBPF_STRICT_* flags instead of 0xffffffff. However
it's not possible because the idea is that applications compiled against
older libbpf_legacy.h would still be opting into latest
LIBBPF_STRICT_ALL features.[1]
The other possibility is to remove that check so something like
"LIBBPF_STRICT_ALL & ~LIBBPF_STRICT_MAP_DEFINITIONS" is allowed. It's
what this commit does.

selftests/bpf: Fix tests to use arch-dependent syscall entry points
Some of the tests are using x86_64 ABI-specific syscall entry points
(such as __x64_sys_nanosleep and __x64_sys_getpgid). Update them to use
architecture-dependent syscall entry names.
Also update fexit_sleep test to not use BPF_PROG() so that it is clear
that the syscall parameters aren't being accessed in the bpf prog.
Note that none of the bpf progs in these tests are actually accessing
any of the syscall parameters. The only exception is perfbuf_bench, which
passes on the bpf prog context into bpf_perf_event_output() as a pointer
to pt_regs, but that looks to be mostly ignored.

selftests/bpf: Use "__se_" prefix on architectures without syscall wrapper
On architectures that don't use a syscall wrapper, sys_* function names
are set as an alias of __se_sys_* functions. Due to this, there is no
BTF associated with sys_* function names. This results in some of the
test progs failing to load. Set the SYS_PREFIX to "__se_" to fix this
issue.

libbpf: Fix build issue with llvm-readelf
There are cases where clang compiler is packaged in a way
readelf is a symbolic link to llvm-readelf. In such cases,
llvm-readelf will be used instead of default binutils readelf,
and the following error will appear during libbpf build:

The binutils readelf doesn't print out the symbol LIBBPF_* version and llvm-readelf does.
Such a difference caused libbpf build failure with llvm-readelf.
The proposed fix filters out all ABS symbols as they are not part of the comparison.
This works for both binutils readelf and llvm-readelf.

Add several tests to check bpf_core_types_are_compat() functionality:
- candidate type name exists and types match
- candidate type name exists but types don't match
- nested func protos at kernel recursion limit
- nested func protos above kernel recursion limit. Such bpf prog
is rejected during the load.

bpf, arm64: Enable kfunc call
Since commit
b2eed9b58811 ("arm64/kernel: kaslr: reduce module
randomization range to 2 GB"), for arm64 whether KASLR is enabled
or not, the module is placed within 2GB of the kernel region, so
s32 in bpf_kfunc_desc is sufficient to represente the offset of
module function relative to __bpf_call_base. The only thing needed
is to override bpf_jit_supports_kfunc_call().

The kasan error is triggered with an illegal BTF like below:
type 0: void
type 1: int
type 2: decl_tag to func type 3
type 3: func to func_proto type 8
The total number of types is 4 and the type 3 is illegal
since its func_proto type is out of range.
Currently, the target type of decl_tag can be struct/union, var or func.
Both struct/union and var implemented their own 'resolve' callback functions
and hence handled properly in kernel.
But func type doesn't have 'resolve' callback function. When
btf_decl_tag_resolve() tries to check func type, it tries to get
vlen of its func_proto type, which triggered the above kasan error.
To fix the issue, btf_decl_tag_resolve() needs to do btf_func_check()
before trying to accessing func_proto type.
In the current implementation, func type is checked with
btf_func_check() in the main checking function btf_check_all_types().
To fix the above kasan issue, let us implement 'resolve' callback
func type properly. The 'resolve' callback will be also called
in btf_check_all_types() for func types.

libbpf: Deprecate priv/set_priv storage
Arbitrary storage via bpf_*__set_priv/__priv is being deprecated
without a replacement ([1]). perf uses this capability, but most of
that is going away with the removal of prologue generation ([2]).
perf is already suppressing deprecation warnings, so the remaining
cleanup will happen separately.

In addition to the normal 64-bit instruction encoding, eBPF also has
a single instruction that uses a second 64-bit bits for a second
immediate value. Instead of only documenting this format deep down

selftests/bpf: Redo the switch to new libbpf XDP APIs
Switch to using new bpf_xdp_*() APIs across all selftests. Take
advantage of a more straightforward and user-friendly semantics of
old_prog_fd (0 means "don't care") in few places.
This is a redo of
544356524dd6 ("selftests/bpf: switch to new libbpf XDP
APIs"), which was previously reverted to minimize conflicts during bpf
and bpf-next tree merge.

Newer GCC complains about capturing the address of unitialized variable.

arguments to CHECK calls, though I had to do a bit more than that

with ASSERT_* calls instead.
Don't be prescriptive about the opts var name and keep old names where that would

lib/Kconfig.debug: Allow BTF + DWARF5 with pahole 1.21+
Commit
98cd6f521f10 ("Kconfig: allow explicit opt in to DWARF v5")
prevented CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_DWARF5 from being selected when
CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF is enabled because pahole had issues with clang's
DWARF5 info. This was resolved by [1], which is in pahole v1.21.
Allow DEBUG_INFO_DWARF5 to be selected with DEBUG_INFO_BTF when using
pahole v1.21 or newer.

kbuild: Add CONFIG_PAHOLE_VERSION
There are a few different places where pahole's version is turned into a
three digit form with the exact same command. Move this command into
scripts/pahole-version.sh to reduce the amount of duplication across the
tree.
Create CONFIG_PAHOLE_VERSION so the version code can be used in Kconfig
to enable and disable configuration options based on the pahole version,
which is already done in a couple of places.

libbpf: Deprecate btf_ext rec_size APIs
btf_ext__{func,line}_info_rec_size functions are used in conjunction
with already-deprecated btf_ext__reloc_{func,line}_info functions. Since
struct btf_ext is opaque to the user it was necessary to expose rec_size
getters in the past.
btf_ext__reloc_{func,line}_info were deprecated in commit
8505e8709b5ee
("libbpf: Implement generalized .BTF.ext func/line info adjustment")
as they're not compatible with support for multiple programs per
section. It was decided[0] that users of these APIs should implement their
own .btf.ext parsing to access this data, in which case the rec_size
getters are unnecessary. So deprecate them from libbpf 0.7.0 onwards.

selftests/bpf: Extend verifier and bpf_sock tests for dst_port loads
Add coverage to the verifier tests and tests for reading bpf_sock fields to
ensure that 32-bit, 16-bit, and 8-bit loads from dst_port field are allowed
only at intended offsets and produce expected values.
While 16-bit and 8-bit access to dst_port field is straight-forward, 32-bit
wide loads need be allowed and produce a zero-padded 16-bit value for
backward compatibility.

bpf: Make dst_port field in struct bpf_sock 16-bit wide
Menglong Dong reports that the documentation for the dst_port field in
struct bpf_sock is inaccurate and confusing. From the BPF program PoV, the
field is a zero-padded 16-bit integer in network byte order. The value
appears to the BPF user as if laid out in memory as so:
offsetof(struct bpf_sock, dst_port) + 0 <port MSB>
+ 8 <port LSB>
+16 0x00
+24 0x00
32-, 16-, and 8-bit wide loads from the field are all allowed, but only if
the offset into the field is 0.
32-bit wide loads from dst_port are especially confusing. The loaded value,
after converting to host byte order with bpf_ntohl(dst_port), contains the
port number in the upper 16-bits.
Remove the confusion by splitting the field into two 16-bit fields. For
backward compatibility, allow 32-bit wide loads from offsetof(struct
bpf_sock, dst_port).
While at it, allow loads 8-bit loads at offset [0] and [1] from dst_port.

index issue. So I add fixes tag. For the later patches, I think that
should be an update instead of fixes, so the fixes tag is not added.

Use temp netns instead of hard code name for testing in case the netns
already exists.
Remove the hard code interface index when creating the veth interfaces.
Because when the system loads some virtual interface modules, e.g. tunnels.
the ifindex of 2 will be used and the cmd will fail.
As the netns has not created if checking environment failed. Trap the
clean up function after checking env.

bpf, x86: Remove unnecessary handling of BPF_SUB atomic op
According to the LLVM commit (https://reviews.llvm.org/D72184),
sync_fetch_and_sub() is implemented as a negation followed by
sync_fetch_and_add(), so there will be no BPF_SUB op, thus just
remove it. BPF_SUB is also rejected by the verifier anyway.

The __user attribute is currently mainly used by sparse for type checking.
The attribute indicates whether a memory access is in user memory address
space or not. Such information is important during tracing kernel
internal functions or data structures as accessing user memory often
has different mechanisms compared to accessing kernel memory. For example,
the perf-probe needs explicit command line specification to indicate a
particular argument or string in user-space memory ([1], [2], [3]).
Currently, vmlinux BTF is available in kernel with many distributions.
If __user attribute information is available in vmlinux BTF, the explicit
user memory access information from users will not be necessary as
the kernel can figure it out by itself with vmlinux BTF.
Besides the above possible use for perf/probe, another use case is
for bpf verifier. Currently, for bpf BPF_PROG_TYPE_TRACING type of bpf
programs, users can write direct code like
p->m1->m2
and "p" could be a function parameter. Without __user information in BTF,
the verifier will assume p->m1 accessing kernel memory and will generate
normal loads. Let us say "p" actually tagged with __user in the source
code. In such cases, p->m1 is actually accessing user memory and direct
load is not right and may produce incorrect result. For such cases,
bpf_probe_read_user() will be the correct way to read p->m1.
To support encoding __user information in BTF, a new attribute
__attribute__((btf_type_tag("<arbitrary_string>")))
is implemented in clang ([4]). For example, if we have
#define __user __attribute__((btf_type_tag("user")))
during kernel compilation, the attribute "user" information will
be preserved in dwarf. After pahole converting dwarf to BTF, __user
information will be available in vmlinux BTF and such information
can be used by bpf verifier, perf/probe or other use cases.
Currently btf_type_tag is only supported in clang (>= clang14) and
pahole (>= 1.23). gcc support is also proposed and under development ([5]).
In the rest of patch set, Patch 1 added support of __user btf_type_tag
during compilation. Patch 2 added bpf verifier support to utilize __user
tag information to reject bpf programs not using proper helper to access
user memories. Patches 3-5 are for bpf selftests which demonstrate verifier
can reject direct user memory accesses.

selftests/bpf: rename btf_decl_tag.c to test_btf_decl_tag.c
The uapi btf.h contains the following declaration:
struct btf_decl_tag {

};
The skeleton will also generate a struct with name
"btf_decl_tag" for bpf program btf_decl_tag.c.
Rename btf_decl_tag.c to test_btf_decl_tag.c so
the corresponding skeleton struct name becomes
"test_btf_decl_tag". This way, we could include
uapi btf.h in prog_tests/btf_tag.c.
There is no functionality change for this patch.

bpf: reject program if a __user tagged memory accessed in kernel way
BPF verifier supports direct memory access for BPF_PROG_TYPE_TRACING type
of bpf programs, e.g., a->b. If "a" is a pointer
pointing to kernel memory, bpf verifier will allow user to write
code in C like a->b and the verifier will translate it to a kernel
load properly. If "a" is a pointer to user memory, it is expected
that bpf developer should be bpf_probe_read_user() helper to
get the value a->b. Without utilizing BTF __user tagging information,
current verifier will assume that a->b is a kernel memory access
and this may generate incorrect result.
Now BTF contains __user information, it can check whether the
pointer points to a user memory or not. If it is, the verifier
can reject the program and force users to use bpf_probe_read_user()
helper explicitly.
In the future, we can easily extend btf_add_space for other
address space tagging, for example, rcu/percpu etc.
